Destination

Description of the Antholz region
This is the place for non-stop winter fun. The biathlon valley is especially popular among cross-country skiers, with more than 30 km of prepared slopes running right through it. Antholz Valley also offers plenty of activities for skiers in the winter. The small, family-friendly lift in Antholz Mittertal is perfect for beginners, children and people who are out of practice.

In addition, there is a FREE SKI BUS that runs to the skiing paradise of Kronplatz every day – just a 20 km journey.
Antholz Valley also offers a toboggan run spanning 5 km, 2 km of which are lit up.
If you’re in the mood to go ice skating, there’s a rink at the camping grounds. And last but not least, Antholz Valley is truly a paradise for ski mountaineering enthusiasts.

Excursions
The blue-green LAKE ANTHOLZ in the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, located 1,650 m above sea level. It takes about an hour to walk around the lake: with tobogganing fun at the Steinzger Alm and Staller Sattel.

Detailed description of the main ways to get to the hotel
By car: Take the Brennerautobahn motorway until you reach the Brixen/Pustertal exit – then take the national highway (SS 49/E 66) into Puster Valley (until you reach Bruneck – 30 km) – after Bruneck, continue on to Lienz (at least 15–20 minutes) until you reach the Rasen/Antholzer Tal junction after the town of Olang – then continue into Antholz Valley. After the 3rd town (Antholz Obertal), you will arrive at the Falkensteiner Hotel Alpenresidenz shortly before the biathlon centre.
By train or bus: International rail connections to Franzensfeste – switch there to the local rail line into Puster Valley – there are train stops in Kiens, Bruneck, Olang and Welsberg – the main bus station is in Bruneck – we will be happy to pick you up from the railway station in Olang with the hotel bus.
By plane: 
Bolzano: 85 km; Innsbruck: 115 km; Verona: 214 km; Munich 280 km; Milan 350 km
